America Ferrera brought her own fashion fairy tale to the 2024 SAG Awards red carpet.
The actress, 39, who stars in Barbiewowed in another gorgeous glam look for Saturday night’s awards show, styled by Karla Welch.
Ferrera wore a custom Dior Haute Couture black wool and silk crepe gown with white organza sleeves.
“I feel like a princess moment — a princess Barbie, that’s me,” she shared on E!’s Live from the Red Carpet before showing off the gorgeous custom look.
She completed the look with over 30 carats of De Beers diamonds, including a stunning 20+ carat cover.
Ferrera, who attended the awards show with her cast, who are all nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture for the Greta Gerwig-directed film, which was released last summer, really let her style run wild while filming press tour and during awards season.
She told PEOPLE last month that she was working with Welch to put together an outfit especially for Barbie the promotion was so much fun because her stylist is a “killer” who really knows what she’s doing. And when forced to pick a favorite, Ferrera wavered a bit before landing on an all-leather set while in South Korea.

“I loved it so much,” Ferrera said of the Tanya Taylor top and Veronica Beard pants. “I mean, I loved so many outfits, so it’s really hard to choose. But I remember putting this on and going, ‘This is exactly how I feel.'”

Ferrera told PEOPLE that the bold skin look — plus hair and makeup — made her feel like a “badass,” adding, “I felt strong.”
“I love wearing a dress, but there’s something about pants and heels that make me feel tall because I’m 5’2″, so I love being in high heels, but the great look of the pants feels like it’s my true inside look,” she said. Ferrera. “Which is so brilliant [Karla] never wears clothes on me. It always helps me achieve what I want to feel. Sometimes it’s soft and feminine, and sometimes it’s va va voom. And other times he’s, like, a badass boss in a pantsuit. I’d say I probably feel most like me in a bad pantsuit.”

America Ferrera Reveals She Did Her Epic ‘Barbie’ Speech ’30 to 50 Times’ on Set
To wrap up last summer’s press tour in London — just in time for the SAG/AFTRA strike, Ferrera wore a very form-fitting red Alex Perry dress with a sweetheart neckline. It was the perfect ending to a fashion tour for a film filled with love and empowerment.
The Superstore the actress used her Instagram caption to thank Welch for styling her during the promotion, writing, “I ❤️ at @karlawelchstylist. Thanks for all the kills.”
Meanwhile, Welch also posted an eye-catching look, using her caption to commemorate the end of the press tour. “It seems like the perfect ending,” Welch wrote.
