American Horror Story’s Angelica Ross Says Emma Roberts Apologized After Allegedly Making Transphobic Comment

Angelica Ross claims she received an apology from Emma Roberts for her behavior on set American Horror Story: 1984.

One day after Pose alum, 42, accused her former co-star, 32, of making a transphobic comment on the set of the FX series, Ross shared x (formerly known as Twitter) to which Roberts reached out to redeem himself.

“Thank you @RobertsEmma for calling and apologizing, realizing your behavior was uncooperative,” she said on Wednesday. “I’ll keep the line open to follow your desire to get better and support social justice causes with your platform.”

Representatives for Roberts, Ross and FX did not respond to PEOPLE’s multiple requests for comment.

Ross, who is transgender, first spoke about the alleged incident on Tuesday during an Instagram Live, which was filmed by AHS fan account.

Ross claimed in the video that the incident between her and Roberts, whom she identified only by his first name and initials, allegedly happened while they were filming the anthology series together.

“I’m standing in front of Emma, ​​talking to her like this, and she’s in front of me with her back against the mirror. She’s like, ‘John, Angelica is mean,'” she claimed, apparently referring to AHS directed by John J. Gray.

Ross claimed that Gray then said, “Okay ladies, you know, that’s enough. Let’s get back to work.”

The actress continued:[Roberts] then he looked at me and said: ‘Don’t you mean the lady?’ And she turns like this and covers her mouth. I stare at her, looking at her dead ass [camera]and I’m like, I’m trying to process the f—- she just said.”

Ross said she fears retribution if she reports the alleged incident, claiming, “My blood boils because I think if I say something, I’ll be the one who’s the problem. I know this because there was someone who spoke out about what she was doing, and they had consequences for it.” (PEOPLE has reached out to Roberts’ rep about the claim.)

“When I saw that happen, I said, ‘I’m done. I am done.’ I didn’t talk to that cub the whole time after that,” she claimed. “She told me she could feel the energy coming out of me.”

She continued: “She said, ‘Are you okay? You didn’t talk.’ I said, ‘Mmhmm,’ Because f—-, don’t play me. You were playing mind games with everyone on set and everyone was waiting for the moment for you to catch me.'”

IN a separate tweet on Wednesday, Ross cited another troubling incident with Roberts and what appears to be theirs in 1984 costar Cody Fern.

“We all sit and I copy Cody’s accent. I didn’t know he had it. Emma then copies my voice and laughs and drops it a few octaves,” she wrote. “I was DESTROYED. My words read my blood. of course I was conscious of my voice on set afterwards.”

Also on Monday, Ross charged AHS creator Ryan Murphy that he saw her as a ghost after he suggested they work together on a season of the all-black FX series.

The actress published the alleged email exchange between her and the producer about a potential show, which never materialized. IN TikTok videoshe claimed that her queries about the series were left “to be read” and were never answered by Murphy, causing her to miss out on a possible opportunity to work with Marvel.

Representatives for Murphy and Marvel did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

AHS: 1984 premiered in September 2019 and was an homage to slasher films of the era, such as Friday 13. The series was set in Los Angeles during the 1980s and followed the staff of a summer camp as they reopened the grounds after the massacre 14 years earlier. In addition to Roberts, Ross and Fern, the series also starred Billie Lourd, Matthew Morrison, Leslie Grossman, Gus Kentworthy, John Carroll Lynch and Zach Villa.
