Amit Khare, an Indian civil servant, retired in September 2021 and served as an Indian administrative service (IAS) official. In October 2021, he was appointed consultant of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Khare is famous for its feed scam held in Bighar in the late 1990s and implemented a new national education policy (NEP) in 2020.

Amit Khare was selected as the Indian administrative service department in 1985. On September 1, 1987, Amit Khare was appointed as a assistant collector of Bihar; this was the first time he served as an IAS official. Feed scam
Exposing Bigharbon’s feed scam is the main highlight of Amit Khare’s career. In the late 1990s, he exposed the feed scheme, which involved the misappropriation of the Domo Dilog. 94 million. When Khare served as DC of West Singhbhum from April 1995 to January 1997, he found irregular cash in the animal husbandry department in the area. During the investigation, he found two separate rupees. 100 million rupees. 90 million rupees have been misappropriated from the regional animal husbandry department. Even after many inquiries, the department did not respond. It was the smell of his mouse. In January 1996, Amit Khare visited the animal husbandry department, and he pointed out that some key files were hurriedly destroyed. When a raid in Lanqi and elsewhere the next day, he observed a similar model. After investigation and trial, the two consecutive chief ministers Jagannath Mishra and Lalu Yadav were imprisoned for participating in the scam. Khare talked about his scam in the column he wrote in 2017,

From 1996-1997, Amit Khare received public policy analysis training at the Indian School of Management in Ahmedab Ad.
