In an interview, he recalled the incident and said:

To catch Ashok Mahto, I had to think like a criminal. What was he thinking about? What’s his next move? I read about his case and researched how he committed the crime. On August 13, we arrested him. “

In 2008, Amit successfully arrested nine Naxalites in Rampur. He subsequently held various postings in the districts of Nalanda, Begusarai, Sheikhpura, Muzaffarpur and Gaya, which are known to be hotbeds of crime. He served Bihar for about 14 years and was a member of the central delegation. In 2012, Amit was appointed as the Director General of BSF Rajasthan Border Police, replacing Anil Paliwal. He also has additional responsibility for the training center there. He served there for about seven years and then returned to Bihar. To unleash the potential of Bihar’s youth, Amit has launched several initiatives such as Sambhav and Bharat Ke Veer.
