Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to inaugurate the Ram Temple-themed Durga Pandal at Santosh Mitra Square in North Kolkata today, October 16. The Ram temple in Ayodhya, which is still under construction, served as the inspiration for the pandal. According to BJP leader Sajal Ghosh, the official event would begin at 4 pm at the Santosh Mitra Square Puja. The Santosh Mitra Square Puja Committee is in charge of organizing the Durga Puja pandal, which is also called Sajay Ghosh’s Puja. The continued construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya served as the inspiration for this year’s theme, “Ram Temple”. The puja pandal was also inaugurated by Amit Shah in 2021, during the Kolkata assembly elections.
