Amol Muzumdar is an Indian cricketer and coach, considered to be one of the most talented batsmen who never represented India in an international cricket match. He has scored over 10,000 first-class runs on the Indian domestic circuit. He has served as a coach for several teams.

Amol Anil Muzumdar was born on Monday, November 11, 1974 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India (49 years; as of 2023). His zodiac sign is Scorpio. He initially studied at BPM High School in Khar, Mumbai and later at Shardashram Vidyamandir International School in Dadar.
He became interested in cricket as his father and uncle used to play cricket at the league level. At the age of ten, his father enrolled him in Ramakant Achrekar’s training academy, which also trained many other legendary batsmen such as Sachin Tendulkar Tendulkar, Chandrakant Pandit, Lachhand Rajput, Pravin Amre and Vinod Kambri Kambli). He later became a professional cricketer.

He started playing cricket for Shardashram Vidyamandir International School team in the 1987-88 season. He later played for Mumbai Under-15, West End Under-15, Mumbai Under-16, Mumbai Under-19, West End Under-16, Indian Stars Club, Indian Board Chairman Under-19 XI, Mohammad Sports Club, Cricket Club India President’s XI, Madras Rubber Factory, Khar Gymkhana, Bombay Cricket Association President’s XI, Bombay Cricket Association XI, Abahani Limited and All India Electricity Board.
He played for around 20 years for different teams such as West Zone, Indian Youth XI, Rest of India and India Seniors. He made headlines for scoring 260 runs on his debut in first-class cricket against Haryana, which was the highest debut score in first-class cricket at that time. He captained Mumbai for many seasons and led them to seven Ranji titles.

- Although he performed consistently in the domestic circuit, he never played for the Indian national team. Although many claimed that he was never selected because of his Assamese origins; however, in an interview, he claimed that he could not get a chance to play as the Fab 4 members of the national team during the decade of 2000s included Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar , Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman.
- In 2002, he considered retiring from cricket as he did not expect to be called up for the Indian national team. However, his father asked him to reconsider this decision and sent him to play in the English league. Armor discovered his passion for the sport there and played there for about 10 years.
- His batting style is right-handed.
- He has also served as a commentator and guest on cricket discussion shows.
- He revealed in an interview that his favorite cricketer growing up was Sunil Gavaskar. He also considered Ravi Shastri as a great leader in the interview.
