After graduation, she moved to Colorado to work as an anchor/reporter for a small TV station on the Western Slope. She recalls looking in her rearview mirror as she drove from her home in metro Detroit, thinking, “One day I’ll be back working for FOX 2 News.” She then moved to Montrose, Colorado, where she transitioned from sports to news at KREY/KREX.
The next station was “on the spot” UPN member KLBC TV2 in Laughlin, Nevada. The event was located in San Luis Obispo, California, more than two years later, where she substituted as a reporter/anchor for KSBY 6.
