Amy Robach Says Marrying T.J. Holmes Is ‘On the Table’: ‘We Did Not Enter This Relationship for Fun’

Amy Robach and TJ Holmes may one day walk down the aisle.

In the latest episode of their The Amy & TJ Podcast aired Tuesday on iHeartRadio, the couple discussed their future together while answering questions from listeners, including, “Are you guys going to get married?”

“It’s under consideration,” said Robach, 50. “We didn’t get into this relationship for fun or to ‘see what happens.’ We got into this relationship because we intended to spend our lives together. So whether or not we have some sort of legal, you know, I don’t know, button on that.”

Robach went on to admit that the former GMA3: What you need to know However, the co-hosts are in no rush to walk down the aisle.

“We both have two marriages behind us and it’s not something we’re chasing or rushing,” she explained. “But there’s something, I get it, it’s that thing that I can’t even explain why there’s this desire, but I want to spend the rest of my life with you, I can say that. It’s on the table. It’s on the table.”

Holmes, 46, meanwhile joked about the “tiny box” under the Christmas tree and admitted the duo’s age played a role in his desire to tie the knot.

“I want to marry you, partly because you’re 50 and I’m 46. And I’m tired of presenting a 50-year-old woman as my girlfriend. It just sounds stupid – he said.

“Thank you for noticing the age difference,” Robach laughed.

“Everyone knows that!” added Holmes. “But you’ll be 51 soon and I’ll be 46. When you were in high school, I was in elementary school.”

“He does this often. He likes to point that out!” Robach said.

When news of the couple’s workplace romance broke in November 2022, Robach did not confirm her split from actor husband Andrew Shue, nor did Holmes confirm her separation from her attorney wife Marilee Fiebig.

In an unexpected turn of events, PEOPLE revealed earlier this month that the couple’s ex-spouses were dating after their split.

During last week’s episode of their podcast, Robach and Holmes did not address the Shue and Fiebig reports, with Holmes sharing his desire to avoid addressing “other headlines,” which he said have an “agenda” — possibly related to news of their exes find love with each other.

“We absolutely expected that to happen. There’s nothing we can do about it,” Holmes said, before adding what he and Robach’s vision is for their new podcast. “But this place, this podcast, this platform is not and never will be… We’re committed to a place that won’t be about gossip, this won’t be a place where we clap back at the headlines.”

He continued: “We’re not going to get into that back-and-forth game because gossip is poisonous.”
