AND Love is blind the Season 5 couple shares their untold story for the first time!
Paige Tillman and Josh Simmons entered the fifth season of the Netflix hit hoping to find a life partner and left an engaged couple. Although their story was not featured in the first seven episodes of the season, Tillman said they were each other’s “first dates and number one choices from the beginning” in a joint Instagram post with Simmons, published Wednesday.
“Our story is filled with love, beautiful moments and happiness without drama,” she wrote alongside a montage of photos and videos of the couple looking in love and carefree as they enjoy life together outside the capsules.
Tillman continued, “After the show, we got engaged and even planned our wedding.”

However, as they navigated life in the real world after falling in love in the pods, “they realized we just wanted different things out of life.”
The two have since “made the most difficult decision to end our engagement,” but note that they have “nothing but love and respect for each other and always will.”
The couple added that they “fell deeply in love” thanks Love is blindand are “so grateful” that the show brought them into each other’s lives.
“We would do it all again if we could 🤍”, the couple concluded the statement.

Hours after sharing their love story — and revealing it had since ended — Tillman posted a short video to her Instagram Story thanking people for their support in light of the news.
“Hey, everyone. I just wanted to come on here and say a quick thank you to all of you for the nice, sweet messages and comments,” she said. “Everyone was so kind today and it means a lot to me.”
Of sharing the story after keeping it under wraps for weeks, she said, “It’s definitely an overwhelming, emotional feeling to finally share this with the news because we’ve been keeping it for so long.”
She concluded the video statement with another message of gratitude for the public support and added: “When I can, I will talk more about it.”

In matching Instagram posts released earlier this month, both Tillman and Simmons shared their excitement about landing roles on the Netflix series about blind dates.
“I jumped at the chance and decided to go for season 5 of @loveisblindnetflix!” Simmons wrote in the post, encouraging his followers to “follow a wild journey to maybe find love!”
Tillman, who founded and owns her own store, announced on Instagram that she had been cast in the show, writing: “Secrets are out and I’m so excited to share that I’m on @loveisblindnetflix season 5!!”
On September 22, when the first four episodes of the season dropped on Netflix, Tillman shared another post. “The pods are open to find love! I can’t wait to share my journey with everyone 💜,” she wrote alongside two photos of some of the other women in the cast.

The first seven episodes Love is blind season 5 is now streaming on Netflix. New episodes are released on Friday, October 6.
