Her father Nias Marikar is a photographer. Her mother Lali PM (also known as Lali Ramla Muhammad) is an actress and social activist. In 2019, Lali made her debut in the Malayalam film industry with Kumbalangi Nights, directed by Madhu C. Narayanan. She has a sister, Lakshmi Mallika. Lakshmi was a child actor in the Malayalam film industry and later worked as an assistant director.
