Anders Holm doesn’t look like his character from Comedy Central’s Workaholics, Anders Holmvik. They may have the same name, but that’s how similar they are. While Holmvik was unmarried and probably never could have supported his girlfriend in a workaholic fraternity, Holm was married to Emma Nesper. Fans may know Holm from The Mindy Project as Pastor Mindy Khaling’s boyfriend and The Intern as Anne Hathaway’s house husband. But he is best known for playing Anders Holmvik, a fictionalized version of himself. Everything we know about Holm, his wife and their family is included here.
Anders Holm stalks his wife
Holm and his wife met in high school/college and fell in love in high school/college. Holm told Harper’s Bazaar that they first met at summer camp when he was 12, but it wasn’t until high school that he developed feelings for his wife. He said that they met at the bowling universe when they were in high school. He looked at her wearing “those little white shorts” in the dim light and thought, “that looks great from here.” He pursued her for the next several months, learning that she was a respectable and very intelligent person “with a mind, not just a white panties”. They started dating when they were both studying at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Holm graduated in history, while his wife graduated in journalism. Holm came to Los Angeles after graduating to find her way into television, which is easier said than done. At first, he worked odd jobs, but his perseverance and self-discipline paid off. Nesper met Holm in Los Angeles, where he began his comedy career. While Holm makes rude jokes, Nesper works for nonprofits that try to alleviate poverty in the developing world. And somewhere in between, in 2011, the couple got married. According to the actor, who has been married to his wife for almost a decade, the secret to their long-lasting relationship is their commitment to making it work.
Anders Holm on being a father
Of course, the next move of the actor and his partner was to start a family, which they did when they had two children. On December 19, 2013, the couple welcomed their first child. The couple is very secretive about keeping their children out of the public eye. However, a few weeks later, the actor couldn’t help but share photos of the baby with fans on Instagram. Holm posted a video of her cute baby sobbing while wearing brown and gray pajamas.

Even though the baby is upset, his funny dad jokes about it by adding slow motion and loud and deep narration to the video. That was the only time Holm’s fans saw her baby. He and his wife completely concealed the identity of their son, so much so that the public did not even know his son’s name. Holm and Nesper later had a second child. However, without much information, he told People in 2020 that his 2-year-old will eventually be a “great young man”.
