He then moved to the United States where he was selected 11th overall by the Golden State Warriors in the 2004 NBA Draft. He played for the Warriors for 9 seasons, from 2004 to 2013. During his time with the Warriors, he was known for his strong defensive presence, rebounding and ability to finish around the rim.
After leaving the Warriors, Biedrins played for the Utah Jazz and Philadelphia 76ers, but struggled with injuries and saw limited minutes. In 2017, he announced his retirement from professional basketball.
