Last year, Angel Reese was the most popular player on the transfer portal, but LSU, where she ended up, wasn’t even in their top picks.

Reese is very happy with her choice. The sophomore forward said her single, hard-working mother raised her and encouraged her to dream high. Reese clarified that she didn’t play five in high school, but Shakira Austin’s departure to Maryland forced her to. Reese shared with Mulkey his need to win back her trust.
