After Angela completed her studies and turned 18, she traveled to Iceland to spend time with her family. After some time, she returned to Bangalore and stayed with some friends. There, she participated in a fashion show and took photos for the Lenovo brand. She was paid Rs 20,000 for the shoot. Angela made her acting debut in the 2013 film Sher Khan with Salman Khan. She even took Hindi lessons for the film to become fluent in the language. Sohail Khan confirmed the news in an interview, saying:
