Angelina Jolie’s Spacious Tote Looks Like the Ideal Work Bag, and We Found Similar Styles Starting at $25

Angelina Jolie’s spacious bag is Evil, eh magnificent!

On Dec. 27, the 48-year-old actress carried a large black bag as she left Atelier Jolie, her new fashion label, in New York City. With the studio spray-painted behind her, she wore a long black trench coat, although her daughter had previously told her she was wearing “too much” with the matching trousers. As for accessories, she completed the look with matching shades, shoes and what looks like a quilted large bag.

We couldn’t make out the brand or logo on it, but we could see how spacious it was. Her bag looked big enough for a laptop, snacks, a few notebooks and planners, and probably more, making it a convenient option for work and commuting. And since Jolie was technically from there, that only strengthened our argument.

We also saw Jolie carrying the bag at the end of last year, along with Meghan Markle, Jennifer Lopez, Katie Holmes, Nicole Kidman and Hilary Duff, despite the fact that smaller shoulder bags are also currently at the fashion helm. So, of course, we went on the hunt for similar options and found styles for just $25.

The first, which is on sale for $25, comes with a longer strap that you can attach when the going gets tough and a matching mini pouch that you can fill with easy-to-lose items like keys. The latter looks less rigid and is easier to mold, and according to Amazon, has been purchased more than 50 times in the past month.

This might be labeled as a baby bag, but all we care about is the number of pockets. There are two on each side of the outside — one for your coffee thermos and one for your Stanley Tumbler — as well as multiple compartments on the inside to organize your pens, charger cables and other essentials. Now there is also this two-tone option and all-black for 68 percent.

The MZ Wallace Medium Metro Tote Deluxe is a bit more expensive, but customers and editors love it nonetheless: one shopping writer once called it her “most prized possession for everyday use, no hassle,” while I use mine, which the brand gave me and later I bought it again for my mom, for traveling because I work remotely. I put two laptops, plus my jewelry case and more in mine, all at once. Jennifer Garner also used the bag.

It is available in plain black and lacquered version, which is truly fascinating. One customer even stated, “I love the shiny material [and] I would love to see more great bags.”
