Anila did her schooling from Springdales School in Delhi and later completed her graduation in Media and Communication Studies from Mumbai. In 2012, she interned at the well-known radio channel BIG 92.7 FM. After graduation, she worked at Endemol Bulgaria, a broadcasting and media production company.

Anila participated in several theater performances in her youth. Although she performed in theater, she was never interested in pursuing acting as a career. During her theater career, Anila collaborated with many famous artists such as Shabana Azmi and created many plays. Anila Kharbanda is also a member of Indian People’s Theater Association (IPTA). Anila also worked with MS Sathyu, the director of the 1974 drama film Garam Hawa, in one of her plays.

I will be playing the role of Mansi/Maisy, an NRI character whose father owns a fertilizer company in the US. She never met her mother and was raised by an American woman. After 15 years, she and her boyfriend came to India to experience food and learn about the real conditions of Indian farmers. Additionally, she understands family bonds and emotions. It’s such a beautiful character that I could immediately and completely relate to. ”
