Anirudh was born on October 28, 1985 in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. He wanted to be an actor since he was a child, but since there was no room for acting in his hometown, he chose to become a pilot. After becoming dissatisfied with his job as a pilot, he pursued a career in acting. He struggled for nearly five years before making his debut.

Initially, he started his career as a commercial pilot, but in 2012, he quit his job as a pilot to pursue a career in acting. Anirudh received his acting training from some prestigious institutions like Barry John Acting Studio in Mumbai, National School of Drama in New Delhi and Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York City. At that time, he also started doing street theater in Benares. In 2015, he served as the executive producer of the movie “Thirst”. He also produced the film Te3n (2016).
Anirudh Tanwar made his acting debut as Kabir Mathur in the film “Rajma Chawal” in 2018, opposite Rishi Kapoor Kapoor). The movie is on Netflix.
