Anjana Shajan passed away along with Miss Kerala 2019 “Ansi Kabeer” in a road accident in Kochi on November 1, 2021. Anjana Shajan and Miss Kerala 2019 Ansi Kabeer died in a road accident at 1 am on November 1, 2021, on the National Highway stretch between Vytilla and Palarivattom near Holiday Inn in Kerala. They were close friends and traveled together after completing their modeling shoots. Their speeding car hit a tree while rescuing a two-wheeler. The police statement on their incident was,
Due to the impact of the accident, all vehicles were damaged and the two beauty pageant winners died on the spot. Two women died immediately after the accident.
