- In a talk show, Pathak mentioned that after completing Class 12, he would go to the park with his friends every morning and evening, where he would tell jokes and entertain everyone. Soon, his humor began to attract a large number of people. Inspired by their response, Pathak began performing street theater with local institutions.
- In the same talk show, Ankur Pathak spoke about his decision to become a performer and actor. He recounted a situation in which he wanted to attend a friend’s wedding, but his father allowed it on the condition that he could not return home if he left. Pathak, who originally thought the wedding would last all night, agreed, but unexpectedly his friends asked him to leave early because of the late time and cold weather. With nowhere to go and hungry, he spent the night under a tree, entertaining passers-by with his performances and earning some money to buy food. According to Ankur, he earned Rs. That night of 826 made him realize that he could sustain himself with his own talent, which also inspired him to pursue an acting career.
