Audience of Gutenberg on Broadway he was honored by a The devil wears Prada moment on Wednesday night thanks to Anne Hathaway and Anna Wintour!
The duo made cameo roles Gutenberg as “The Producers” who give aspiring musical theater composers Bud (Josh Gad) and Doug (Andrew Rannells) a Broadway deal at the end of the show.
Hathaway and Wintour embraced on stage at the James Earl Jones Theater in New York in a video shared on Instagram before Hathaway began the final act.
“Oh Bud, Doug, this show is fantastic,” she says to a pair of best friends (played by Gad and Rannells) who dream of bringing their play to Broadway in this very meta musical. “We don’t need to hear another note!”

And then Wintour chimed in: “I’m a very famous producer on Broadway, and this is my assistant,” she said, pointing to Hathaway.
“More?” – asked Hathaway disparagingly in front of the editor-in-chief of the American Vogue continued.
“I’m holding a Broadway contract in my hands,” Wintour said, as the audience applauded and hugs spread all around.
Wintour and Hathaway wore all-black outfits to compliment the yellow “Producer” trucker hat that is so essential Gutenberg it is essentially a character unto itself.

The reunion of the actress and media executive was a nod to the 2006 film The devil wears Prada (according to the book of the same name). Hathaway played Andrea “Andie” Sachs, the second assistant to Meryl Streep’s character Miranda Priestly, the editor-in-chief of a high-fashion magazine who has a reputation as a tyrant.
Streep’s character is reportedly based on Wintour.
There was nothing but love between Wintour and Hathaway as they both donned yellow trucker hats, announced their fates to Bud and Doug, and wowed the crowd.
He used to wear a hat Frozen star and Tony winner Idina Menzel, John Stamos, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Kristen Bell, Tiffany Haddish, Sara Bareilles, Billy Crystal, Steve Martin and Martin Short (among many other famous faces).

Gutenberg officially opened on October 12. The original musical features music and a book by Scott Brown and Anthony King.
The show marks the reunion of Gad and Rannell on stage since their breakthrough roles in The Book of Mormon.
