Hathaway works with stylist Erin Walsh on her red carpet wardrobe, telling PEOPLE last year that she’s never had more fun with fashion.

“Everybody’s taking risks right now, and I feel like there’s more than one way to do it right now, which means you don’t have to hit the mark, you just have to be yourself — and that’s a great feeling,” she shared. “Erin and I both believe that style is expression and I believe in her, which makes me feel like I can be braver. We don’t take it too seriously. This is not a dress rehearsal; this is life. I’ve been given so many things at such a young age and I’m not I always knew how to appreciate that. I felt bad about some things and didn’t know how to enjoy what I was wearing. Now I wear things that I enjoy and I wear them with gratitude – and it seems to be working.”

And in my 40s, I find that I have to eat differently,” she told PEOPLE. “I want to go back and talk to my 25-year-old self who felt like she didn’t have to do anything and just be like, ‘Oh baby, baby , there’s a whole other world out there and it tastes like avocado.’”
