The person who auditioned brought me to Kolkata from Barrackpore and told me that this role was suitable for me. The audition and look test took a few hours; I finished it and went home. While I was in the car, I got a call saying, “Annie, you’ve been chosen!” Believe me, I cried; I didn’t tell my parents right away because I wanted to see their reaction face to face. I called my best friend while crying… When I got home, my father and mother also shed tears of happiness. I remember my dad saying, “Didn’t I tell you that one day you would do what you love, and now you are!” They were both happy. “
In 2023, she appeared in the TV show Phagoner Mohona, playing the role of Rumjhum opposite Siddharth Sen.

- Annmary Tom is a trained Kathak and Bharatanatyam dancer. She also runs a YouTube channel of the same name, where she often shares her dance videos. According to Annmarie, she has been taking dance classes since she was a child.
- In 2019, she suffered a serious accident, after which doctors advised her not to dance. Later, after recovering from the accident in 2022, she started dancing again.
- According to Annmarie, initially she was not fluent in Bengali; her second language was Hindi, which she studied at a British convent school. Later, her mother taught her to read Bengali. Annmarie spoke about this in an interview, saying:
Initially, it was difficult for me to read the script in Bengali as I didn’t know Bengali well. My second language is Hindi and I study in an English school. So, I couldn’t learn Bengali formally, but learned it from Teacher Ma, so my understanding of Bengali is practical, not theoretical. Teacher Ma has always urged me to speak more in Bengali to understand the conversational language, even more so now. The whole team knows that I still have some difficulty speaking Bengali, but they always encourage and motivate me to overcome this difficulty. I was told to read Bengali books, poetry and newspapers and I took the advice. “
