Anthony Rumble Johnson (1984-2022) was an American mixed martial artist who competed in the light heavyweight division. Most of his career has been associated with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), an American mixed martial arts promotion based in Las Vegas. In 2021, he returned to mixed martial arts (MMA) under Bellator MMA. He died of organ failure on November 13, 2022 due to non-Hodgkin lymphoma and hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis.

Anthony Rumble Johnson, also known as Anthony Kewoa Johnson, was born on Tuesday, March 6, 1984 (age 38 at the time of death) in Dublin, Georgia, USA, under the astrological sign of Pisces .
When he was 2 years old, his grandparents officially adopted him. Anthony attended West Lawrence High School. As a student, he excelled in wrestling and received a wrestling scholarship through which he attended Lassen College in Susanville, California. While in college, Johnson joined the National Junior College Athletic Association and became a junior college national wrestling champion. After graduation, Anthony worked as a bodyguard for a while. Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)
Anthony Rumble Johnson made his UFC Fight Night 10 debut against Chad Renner. In this fight, he knocked out Reyna in just 13 seconds of the first round. He replaced Steve Bruno in the game, who suffered a torn rotator cuff.
He subsequently lost to Rich Clementi at UFC 76; Rich defeated Anthony via rear-naked choke in the second round. While in the UFC, Johnson compiled a 13-5 record. Some of his notable wins include a 13-second victory over former UFC champion Glover Teixeira, as well as wins over Alexander Gustafsson, Phil Davis, Andrei Arlovski and Dan Hardy. In 2012, he was disqualified from the promotion for disciplinary reasons following the weigh-in day of his fight with Vitor Belfort.
Two years later, on February 4, 2014, Anthony returned to the UFC with an upgraded contract. Upon his return, Johnson chose to compete at light heavyweight instead of losing weight to compete at welterweight. Despite being at a disadvantage, Johnson managed to defeat Phil Davis via unanimous decision.
On September 19, 2014, Anthony was suspended by the UFC after his ex-girlfriend and mother of two children committed domestic violence against him. After the case was dismissed, Johnson’s suspension was lifted by the UFC on November 6, 2014. He subsequently fought with several MMA celebrities including Alexander Gustafsson, Daniel Cormier, Jan Błachowicz and Ryan Bader game. His career record is 23 wins and 6 losses. Titan Fighting Championship
After being released from the UFC, Anthony Rumble Johnson was scheduled to face UFC veteran David Branch at Titan Fighting Championship 22 in the middleweight division. However, on the day of the weigh-in, Anthony weighed in at 194.2 pounds, breaking the 186-pound limit. This was the fourth time in Anthony’s MMA career that he exceeded the allowed weight limit. The fight was later agreed to be a 195-pound non-heavyweight contest, which Johnson won via unanimous decision. On August 24, 2012, Johnson made his light heavyweight debut against former Cage King super heavyweight champion Esteves Jones at the 24th Titan Fighting Championship. Johnson won by technical knockout in just 51 seconds of the second round.

World Series of Fighting
On October 3, 2012, Anthony Johnson signed a deal with World Series of Fighting to fight the famous DJ in a light heavyweight (205 lbs) contest at the inaugural mixed martial arts (MMA) event on November 3, 2012 Linderman contests. He won via knockout in the first round of the showdown.
On March 23, 2013, he faced Andrei Arlovski in a World Series of Fighting 2 heavyweight match and won by unanimous decision. At World Series of Fighting 5, he was originally scheduled to face Strikeforce veteran Mike Kyle on September 14, 2013. However, he was unable to participate in the game due to injury. On January 18, 2014, Anthony defeated Mike Kyle by first round knockout at WSOF 8 in Hollywood, Florida.

After parting ways with the Ultimate Fighting Championship and retiring in 2017, Anthony Rumble Johnson returned and signed a multi-fight contract with Bellator MMA in December 2020. Anthony was originally scheduled to face Yoel Romero in the quarterfinals. World Grand Prix at Bellator 257 on April 16, 2020. However, his match was moved to Bellator 258 on May 7. Accused of domestic abuse and sexual harassment
Anthony Rumble Johnson has been accused of domestic violence and sexual harassment multiple times. In 2008, Anthony pleaded no contest and was convicted of domestic violence against his girlfriend and placed on probation for three years. He was also charged with property damage apparently for damaging the victim’s cellphone. However, the charges were later dropped. In March 2014, Anthony was again charged with domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his child in Arkansas. According to a police report released in September 2014, Anthony’s ex-girlfriend claimed Johnson made physical contact with her at work and grabbed her shirt by the back of her neck. She also claimed he picked her up from the chair she was sitting in, grabbed her right arm and pulled her several times to bring her closer to him.
Accused of identity theft
On May 11, 2021, New Canaan police arrested Anthony, of Fairfield County, Connecticut, for allegedly using a stolen credit card to book a November 2019 flight from Newark, New Jersey, to Lauderdale, Florida. Fort flights. He was later released on $500 bail.

Anthony Rumble Johnson passed away on November 13, 2022, at the age of 38, after about a year of dealing with health issues. In September 2021, Anthony Johnson announced on his Instagram account that he was experiencing some serious health issues. He wrote,

A month later, his agent Ali Abdelaziz revealed in an interview that Johnson’s health had taken a turn for the worst. He said,
