Before becoming famous, Anumita Nadesan was a regular content creator on social media like Instagram and YouTube, where she posted covers of popular Hollywood songs. She took to Instagram to share her debut Bollywood cover of ‘O Rangrez’ from the film ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’. The video gained attention after being retweeted by Indian actresses Sonam Kapoor and Anna Ben.
Anumita became an instant hit in December 2020 when she shared a video of her singing the song “Jashn-e-Bahara” from the 2008 Bollywood film Jodha Akbar. The reel was viewed more than 2 million times in one month. She later produced a full version of the song and shared it on YouTube.
Internet fame prompted Anumita to make more videos and videos until she started getting featured and played singing projects.
