Anushka Sharma was born on May 1, 1988 in a Brahmin family in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India. However, she grew up in Bangalore and completed her education at Army School. She completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore. Her father is a native of Uttar Pradesh while her mother is from the Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. After pursuing higher education, Anushka moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in modeling. She was admitted to the elite Model Management Institute and trained under fashion consultant Prasad Bidapa.
