She had leadership qualities in her from a young age. Apart from leadership, she also possesses the inherent value of discipline, interpersonal and management skills which have helped her become an iconic, self-made and aspiring female entrepreneur. Pinky Reddy developed an interest in art while attending the Hyderabad Handicrafts Council. Since then, she has been encouraging Indian artisans and providing them with a platform to showcase and sell their work.
She used her skills and knowledge to help set up the JAYA HE Museum at the newly constructed Terminal 2 of the Mumbai Airport. She assisted American architects and Indian artisans in reinterpreting Indian arts and crafts to add colour to the airport. While working with the creative team, she realised that financially challenged artisans needed financial assistance. She then founded a retail company, ‘Adaa’, and launched three brands: The Lotus House, The Poparazzi (Indian kitschy pop art) and Local (a food store).
Her company has been promoting Indian handicrafts and crafts and encouraging women to make gifts at home. Ms. Pinky Reddy donates the funds raised from ‘Adaa’ to the Aparna Foundation, which supports the educational and health needs of over 300 underprivileged students. She is the chairperson of the annual 10K running race in Hyderabad, which aims to train children for international sports competitions.
She worked towards women economic empowerment and equal opportunities during her tenure as the National President of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry Women’s Organisation (FICCI FLO) in 2018. She is an active member of FICCI FLO, motivating and inspiring women entrepreneurs across the country. With her exceptional skills and talents, she has achieved success in both her professional and personal life. She is an avid art lover and has been supporting emerging artisans for many years.
