On October 3, 2021, he was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Mumbai, for possession of drugs at a rave party organized by Cordelia Cruise in Mumbai. Arbaaz was arrested by the NCB along with seven others and is being interrogated. Several packets of drugs were reportedly found in his shoes. The seven others arrested are Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mehak Jaiswal, Vikrant Chhoker, Gomit Chopra and Aryan Khan. According to NCB officials,
Based on specific information, Mumbai NCB officials conducted a raid on the Cordelia cruise ship bound for Goa from Mumbai on October 2. During the operation, based on information, all suspects were searched and a variety of drugs were seized, including: MDMA/Ecstasy, Cocaine, MD (Mephedrone) and Charas were recovered. NCB has registered crime number: Cr 94/21 in this matter. Further investigation is ongoing. They have been registered under sections 8 (c), 20 (b), 27 and 35 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. The three were produced before the Mumbai District Court. The hearing is currently ongoing. “
The Director General of NCB said,
We conducted this operation 15 days ago after receiving very confidential information about a drug party on the ship. We already have evidence against those detained. Whoever organized this party on the ship will have to face an investigation and they will not be able to escape investigation. “
