Former Love Island USA contestants Caro and Ray found love on The Amazing Race, but ended up breaking up due to commitment issues. Meanwhile, Caro has moved on, got married and is expecting a child, while Ray continues with television appearances.
Are Caro and Ray still together?
Caro Viehweg and Ray Gantt, who met on Love Island in the US, joined forces in the 33rd season of The Amazing Race. However, their relationship ran into trouble. Caro revealed on her YouTube channel that they had broken up. She explained that she felt that Ray was not as committed to the relationship as she was. This news came as a surprise to fans who were rooting for them on both Love Island and The Amazing Race.
After the hiatus, Caro and Ray decided not to return to The Amazing Race. The break in production was longer than expected and they decided not to continue the competition. Another couple, Connie and Sam Greiner, also missed the rest of the show due to Connie’s pregnancy. Despite not returning to the race, Caro has been busy with her travels, sharing her adventures through vlogs.
In the middle of the sequel, Caro found love again. She married entrepreneur Rene Lacaud and is expecting their first child in April 2024. On the other hand, Ray has remained active in the reality TV scene, appearing in various shows and partnering with different brands.
Although Caro and Ray’s romance has not stood the test of time, they both thrive in their individual pursuits. Caro is happily married and soon to be a mother, while Ray continues to pursue opportunities in the entertainment industry.

Amazing Race 33
The Amazing Race 33 is the thirty-third season of the American reality competition show The Amazing Race, hosted by Phil Keoghan. It featured eleven two-person teams with existing connections racing around the world to win a $1,000,000 prize. Filming began in February 2020, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic for more than a year and a half.
The race resumed in September 2021 with most of the original teams and a modified route. This season took competitors across two continents and seven countries, covering over 22,000 miles (35,000 km). Starting from various cities in the United States, the racers traveled through England and Scotland before production ceased.
After they continued to St. Gallen in Switzerland, they continued through France, Greece and Portugal before ending up in Los Angeles. An aspect unique to this season was the teams starting from their homes rather than from a central location. The season premiered on CBS on January 5, 2022, and concluded with the season finale airing on March 2, 2022. The winners were married internet personalities Kim and Penn Holderness. Flight attendants Raquel Moore and Cayla Platt placed second, while best friends Ryan Ferguson and Dusty Harris finished third.
