Ariana Grande Calls Out Official Wicked Film Account for Posting Wrong Lyrics to Her Song 'Popular'

Have lyrics for Wicked changed forever? The answer is no, according to Ariana Grande.

On November 13, the official Wicked movie Instagram account teased Grande’s version of Galinda/Glinda’s well-known song “Popular” in a video that features lyrics and clips from a scene in the upcoming musical film. However, the star then left a comment calling out the account for apparently sharing the incorrect verse.

In the video, Grande’s character sings the song to co-star Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, with the lyrics: “Popular, you’ll be popular / I’ll teach you proper posture when you talk to boys / Little ways to flirt and cheer, ooh!”

The “7 Rings” singer then chimed in with a correction in the comments. “it’s ‘tricks’ !!!!!! love you @wickedmovie,” she wrote, referencing the “poise” lyrics from the clip.
