Ariana Grande is her boyfriend Ethan Slater’s #1 fan.
On Tuesday, the 30-year-old singer was seen cheering on Slater, 31, during the first performance of the Broadway play Spamalot renovation in the theater of St. James Theater in New York.
In an Instagram video shared by showgoer Jim Glaub, the pop star could be seen watching and smiling from the audience as colorful confetti fell and people around her clapped and cheered.
A source told PEOPLE that Grande was “hugely supportive” of the production and is “already planning to go again.”
“She saw it during technical rehearsals,” the insider said. βShe was so sweet last night, taking pictures with fans and talking about how much she enjoyed the performances. She’s a theater kid at her core, so you can see she’s really at ease being on Broadway.”

The “7 Rings” hitmaker attended Tuesday’s performance with her brother Frankie Grande and friend Doug Middlebrook, and was later photographed leaving the premiere with Middlebrook.
In the photos, Grande could be seen smiling as she placed the paper Spamalot crown on her head and carried the program for the show. Middlebrook, who dressed in a knight’s costume, also played and laughed at one point as he placed the crown on the musician, who was wearing a beige dress, brown coat and boots and white lace gloves.
Back in August, production announced that Slater was set to star in the musical in the dual role of Historian/Prince Herbert.
He and Grande met on the set of the upcoming film adaptation Wicked, and developed an off-screen romance. Slater, who made his Broadway debut in SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musicalhe will play Boq, the lover of Elphaba’s sister Nessarose who is in love with Glinda (played by Grande).
Grande also got her start on Broadway, starring in Robert Brown’s short-lived musical Jason in 2008. 13. On September 30, she returned to her theater roots when she visited the Stephen Sondheim Theater to sit in the audience of the Tony-nominated musical & Juliet.

Grande and Slater’s relationship, which PEOPLE first confirmed in July, began after her split from husband Dalton Gomez and Slater’s split from wife Lilly Jay.
Last month, Grande and Gomez, 28, settled for divorce just weeks after filing, after two years of marriage.
Ever since Grande and Slater’s romance became public, the couple has tried to keep their relationship out of the spotlight and keep things low-key.
As a source told PEOPLE in September, “They’re just trying to manage their new relationship privately.”
