Aries Spears Is Facing Backlash After He Made A Remark About Lizzo’s Appearance

Aries Spears, an American stand-up comedian, was criticized online for making provocative remarks about Lizzo’s appearance. During a recent episode of Mighty Bolton’s The Art Of Dialogue, the 47-year-old made some uncomfortable statements about the Good as Hell singer’s weight, which she has struggled with throughout her music career.

Spears began his questionable comment by claiming that Lizzo makes beautiful music, then added:

“I can’t get over how similar it is to the shitty emoji. She is a stunning young lady. She has a beautiful face, but she always shows her body. Come on, dude.”

He then takes a minute to admit that he’s not in great shape at the moment, but defends it by pointing out that he has a lot on his plate and hasn’t had any problems with women.

You are so disrespectful to Lizza and it makes me sick. literally all he does is make tiktoks and play happy music. leave her alone like??? https://t.co/CpM2vYSXGN

He still said about the singer:

“However, a lady built like a dish of mashed potatoes is in danger.” she is sick. Her music is solid, but her body is not. What bothers me the most about women? Hypocrisy and inconsistency. “You’re right, queen. Queen, kill.’ Diabetes is a hole. Fucking heart problems. Fucking cholesterol, fucking heart disease. You claim femininity and sisterhood, but if you really loved your sister, you’d say, “Black girl, we love you and your confidence, but that’s not it.”

Lizzo gathered a crowd of fans when Aries Spears noticed her appearance.

Several fans and other artists criticized Aries Spears on social media for his fatphobic comments about Lizzo’s physique and appearance. They praised the three-time Grammy winner and compared her impressive music career with the comedian’s business life. After Aries Spears’ words went viral, Megan Thee Stallion came to the Juice singer’s defense on her Instagram story.

Aries Spears defends her remarks.

After being slammed online for his comments in a recent YouTube interview, the comedian posted a video on Instagram urging fans of the About Damn Time singer to criticize him based on facts, not emotions. Along with the video, he put a long caption that reads:

“I KNEW IT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN!!! If people who are angry, especially women, really paid attention to the art of dialogue, one even called me to lose weight, and the other, more importantly, the main point was to celebrate the wrong thing, there are a lot of hypocritical women who also attack men for laughs, but if you’re going to celebrate sisterhood while lizzie’s confidence is commendable, it’s also dangerous. (INCLUDING ME) the fact is you do more harm in the name of sisterhood in silence than in fake celebration, but that is never discussed, so shame on me!!”

He made another video for Lizzo’s fans who called him “ugly and unattractive”, mocking them for “hiding behind fake eyelashes, wigs and nails”. He made the video while listening to Beyonce’s Break My Soul in the background.
