Profession

Arjun started playing badminton in 2008 at the age of 9 at FACT Club in Kochi, Kerala. After three years, he moved to the Badminton Academy at Kadavantra Regional Sports Center in Kochi, where his coach M. Mohanachandran introduced him to doubles. Arjun shifted his focus entirely to doubles and became a player for the Kerala team from 2012 onwards. During his badminton career, Arjun achieved notable success in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour.

He was the runner-up in Mixed Doubles at the Odisha Open 2022 (Super 100 level event) with his partner Treesa Jolly. At the BWF Junior International Championships, he won five titles and finished second in the men’s doubles and mixed doubles events. In the BWF International Challenge/Series, Arjun won nine men’s doubles matches and finished runner-up five times. Arjun and his team won the 2022 Thomas & Uber Cup Men’s Team Championship. His teammates include Lakshya Sen, Srikanth Kidambi, Prannoy HS Priyanshu Rajawat, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy, Chirag Shetty, Dhruv Kapila, Krishna Prasad Garaga and Vishnuvardhan Goud Panjala.

Arjun won the silver medal in the men’s team at the 19th Asian Games. He also competed in individual events, but had to throw in the towel due to injury. As of 2023, Arjun is ranked 22nd in the men’s doubles category and 84th in the mixed doubles category.
