Armed cops swoop on home of Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brueckner’s getaway driver as urgent manhunt launched

POLICE are urgently looking for a potential new witness in the Madeleine McCann case – a close friend and alleged “partner in crime” of Christian Brueckner.

They need to ask Ralph Ha “about his connection” to the case of the missing British girl who went missing in Portugal in 2007.

Armed police this week surrounded his well-fortified compound near Braunschweig, Germany.

Up to ten police officers armed with machine guns spent an hour in front of the house, next to the house where Brueckner (47) once rented an apartment.

Ralph, a longtime friend of a sex offender, has gone missing with the police now urgently looking for him.

The 56-year-old allegedly worked closely with Brueckner and was an accomplice in the crime.

More about Christian Brueckner

He admitted robbing the homes of the pedophile – who is currently on trial for five sex crimes in Portugal – and driving several of his vehicles.

“I was like a lookout for him during burglaries and a getaway driver,” he recently admitted.

“I know exactly what crimes he was up to and what he was doing on the dark web.”

A detective from the BKA – Germany’s version of the FBI – confirmed: “We urgently need to speak to this man regarding his relationship with Christian B.

“We need to find him to ask him about the missing Madeleine McCann.”

He continued, “He’s not home, he’s not answering his phone, he seems to be missing.”

Christian Brueckner’s ‘mum’ disowns Madeleine McCann suspect, telling The Sun: “I have nothing to do with him anymore. Goodbye.”

Prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters said: “He is a neighbor who might be interesting to talk to, but we cannot give any details about operational matters.”

A small property in the garden of Kennelblick was raided on Wednesday last week.

The White House is well guarded with motion detectors and CCTV cameras – four outside in total.

As the police did not have a search warrant, they were unable to break in.

Neighbor Anja said: “I saw that the policemen appeared very quietly, there were probably eight to ten of them.

“It was quite frightening to suddenly see them sneak in with their helmets and flak jackets and jump over his fence.”

I know exactly what kind of crimes he came up with and what he did on the dark web.

She added: “They surrounded his home and shouted his name, but to no avail.

“The police later asked me if I had any idea where Ralph might be.

“It was around noon and I thought he was out at work.

“But it turns out no one has seen him for almost a week.”

According to neighbors, Brueckner and Ralph ran numerous “schemes” together.

One said: “The couple grew and sold marijuana together and stole a lot.

“Both were also very sleazy and involved in various schemes.”

Brueckner rented the lot with the little blue gingerbread house for three years.

He split his time between a country home and a newsstand in a nearby town, where he is currently on trial for five other sexual offenses.

He was charged with three counts of rape and two crimes against children, all of which occurred in Portugal between 2000 and 2017.

The convicted pedophile lived not far from Praia da Luz – where Madeleine disappeared at the age of three – for ten years.

German police are convinced that he abducted and later killed her, and have confirmed that his phone was used at the time she disappeared.

The results of last year’s search at nearby Lake Arade, where Brueckner spent a lot of time, have not yet been published.

The current trial continues tomorrow in Braunschweig, with the testimony of his former friend Christian Post, who now lives in Cambodia.
