- In a 2023 interview, Abbas revealed that he had been dealing with kidney failure for the past seven years. He mentioned that he had spent around PKR 70 million on treatment. He asked his family to sell their properties in Lahore and Faisalabad to raise funds for his medical treatment. He also used up the 10 million Pakistani rupees he won in music competitions and even sold his Mercedes-Benz. He said his mother died after learning of his condition.

According to sources, he is battling kidney disease and has been on dialysis four days a week for the past few years. I have also worked as a singer in Mekaal Hasan Band, won Lux Style Award and Tamgha-e-Imtiaz Award, and I have served my country as an artiste for many years. “
