Nelly and Ashanti are ringing in the new year from afar!
The on-again, off-again couple may have been in different locations on Sunday night, but that didn’t stop them from celebrating together as Nelly went live on Instagram with his girlfriend, who performed a New Year’s Eve show with Ja Rule in St. James in St. Springfield, Virginia.
After going live to show off his celebration, Nelly, 49, turned on the “Rock wit U (Awww Baby)” singer and told her, “You look good, mom. Happy New Year, baby!”
“Thank you honey!” said Ashanti, 43, blowing her sweetheart a kiss.
A little later during the session, Nelly’s song “EI” was played, which made them both smile and sing along.
“I love you mom!” he said to his girlfriend, who replied: “I love you too, honey!”

Ashanti and Nelly have been dating since 2003, but the musicians confirmed in September that they are prioritizing their relationship again.
“We’re in a great space,” Ashanti told PEOPLE on the 2023 MTV VMAs red carpet while carrying a personalized purse printed with a 20-year-old photo of her and her boyfriend. “Everything is positive. [We’re] have a lot of fun.”

On the same day, Nelly confirmed that he and the “Foolish” singer were back together, telling Love and hip hopIt features Rasheeda and Kirk Frost The boss moves in with Rasheed showing that they are “cool again”.
“I think it took us both by surprise,” the “Country Grammar” singer said, adding that their rekindled relationship “wasn’t something that was planned.”

Nelly and Ashanti’s Relationship Timeline: A Look at Their Rekindled Romance
Since reuniting, the two have been making their love public. For Ashanti’s birthday in October, Nelly gave her a diamond chain necklace and a diamond-encrusted watch.
He also celebrated her birthday by posting a sweet tribute on Instagram. Along with a montage of photos and video clips of the couple, Nelly wrote: “One for the birthday girl… Such a beautiful, amazing person inside and out and one of the hardest working women. I know… @ashanti.”
“Enjoy your day mom you look great!!!! Happy Birthday I love you!!!!” he concluded.
In the comments section, Ashanti responded to her rapper boyfriend, “Awwwwww thank you big head!!!!!!!!🥰😘 love you!!!!”
Then in November, the Grammy-winning star threw Nelly a surprise 49th birthday party in Atlanta, complete with karaoke. Both her and his parents flew in for the big day, as did his four children.
