There is no change in SEBA class 10 exam fees

HSLC Board Exams in Assam: Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu has tweeted that the increase in the cost of the exams that has been doing the rounds in the media is false and baseless. He informed that there is no increase in the fee for the 10th class examination under the Board of Secondary Education of Assam (SEBA). The structure is the same as last year. As per class 10 exam fee structure, SEBA fee is Rs 700, center fee is Rs 350 and practical exam fee is Rs 150, making a total of Rs 1200. All BPL students are exempted from paying fees.

Assam HSLC Exam Fee Structure

According to the Minister of Education, the tariff remains unchanged compared to last year. SEBA fee is Rs. 700, while the center fee is Rs. 350. Additionally, the Assam HSLC practical exam fee is Rs. 150, resulting in a total of Rs. 1200. It is important to note that all BPL students are exempted from this fee.

SEBA and AHSEC will be replaced by one board: Assam CM

Earlier, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that from the next academic year 2024, there will be no board exam for class 10 students. The State Government will set up one new Assam Education Board. The decision was made by the state in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020).

Class 10 exams are conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) and Class 12 exams are conducted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC). Boards from the two states will now merge.
