Aubrey Plaza reveals a secret.
In a new interview with The Wall Street Journal, the actress, 40, admitted she never watched the episode White lotus. Despite starring in the hit series, Plaza explained why she never got around to watching it.
“I will,” she said. “To be honest, I had trouble opening an HBO Max account when I tried to watch it. I couldn’t figure out the password and I usually just give up when I can’t figure out the password. I just can’t deal with that kind of thing.”
“I would love a DVD, but they don’t send DVD sets anymore,” she joked. “I ask them every time.”

The comedian played an uptight lawyer named Harper who was married to rich, naïve businessman Ethan (Will Sharpe) in season two The White lotus. She is also known for her roles in Parks and Recreation, Dirty Grandpa and the upcoming film My old donkey.
When asked which character she is most similar to, Plaza had an answer that would surprise some.
“Probably mine White lotus character,” she said. “I mean in many ways — not every way. She was a lawyer like my mom, and there were some connections there.”
As for how she got into character for Mike White’s award-winning drama, Plaza said it was a mix of convincing herself it was a matter of “survival” and the fact that she ate every day like she was on vacation in Italy.
“So much linguine and clams,” she explained, then joked, “They actually required us to eat linguine and clams twice a day. It was a kind of psychological conditioning.”

White lotus returns for a third season with a new cast, this time set in Thailand. Although not much is known about it, Walton Goggins is taking on the lead role alongside several big name stars including Michelle Monaghan, Leslie Bibb, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Parker Posey and Season 1 favorite Natasha Rothwell.
He told PEOPLE in June that the cast was “so deep” into filming.
“I can’t believe we’re in the middle of it now and all these relationships and all these friendships are just cemented with all these experiences we’re having,” he said.

Teasing the new season, Goggins said the script “ran the gamut.”
“Microphone [White] himself said what he said about season one and what it represents and what season two represents,” he said. “Season 3, without putting words in his mouth, will represent something very, very, very specific and, for my money, resonate deeply with a large audience, and certainly among fans of what he does.”
