June is here, that means only one thing: it’s Pride month. While most people celebrate the colorful month by posting rainbow-colored hashtags and storytelling rings on social media sites, others choose to reflect on their experience leaving home. AustinShow, a Twitch broadcaster, appeared on Twitter on June 1, 2022 to mark the two-year anniversary of its release.
“Pride pride to all my LGBTQ+ friends!” “This month I’m celebrating two years of coming out as gay,” the streamer said.
For the first 25 years of his life, he was unhappy about his gender and didn’t tell anyone he was gay, but now he’s happy to share it with everyone. He also sent a heartfelt message to his LGBTQ+ family. “You are valued and appreciated no matter who you are.” His friends and followers showered him with tenderness, and he thanked everyone for their well wishes in the following tweet.

AustinShow opens up about homosexuality
AustinShow officially launched in April 2020 via their Twitch Livestream and Twitter. Initially, this streamer had no need to publicize his gender, but after visiting Reddit, he realized there were many misunderstandings surrounding him. Since he lied about his identity, the Reddit user assumed he was lying. For the uninitiated, AustinShow was formerly known as Rajj Patel, although this is not his real name.
However, he abandoned his online character in 2020 after finding it inappropriate and harmful to the Indian community. “People on Reddit say, ‘Well, you know, he’s been posing as Indian for years, so I guess this [being homosexual] his last fake plan to get views.’” So it was important for me to get out and I did. “Read the tweet,” the streamer said.
He thanked everyone for their messages of love and support, and shared his message with those still in the closet. While he admits that accepting one’s gender is difficult, he urges people not to apologize or be ashamed of who they are.

And, while being supportive, this streamer struggled with his gender before going public. On an episode of Attack of the Show: The Loop, the G4TV host discussed his gender identity and the journey he’s faced with it. Kevin Pereira, his friend and presenter, revealed the joke that the Twitch broadcaster allegedly told him before filming, saying “is gay. [was] his brand.” AustinShow notes that although he went public on Twitter at the age of 25, he informed his loved ones about it a year earlier.
It’s been a journey of self-discovery and rejection for streamers. For years, he thought he was straight because society taught him that he would end up with a woman. “I come from a pretty liberal family, but people talk about my future relationships with people, and one of them is with a woman.” “It was like, ‘OK, so I’ll be blunt,'” the streamer said. It’s too young to understand what it’s been through. As an adult, however, AustinShow seems to understand more about who he is.
