Avantika was born in 1985 in Dehradun, India (age 38 in 2023). She grew up in a middle-class family. Avantika attended a convent school in Dehradun. As a child, her only dream was to start making money as soon as possible. She was in eighth grade when she started helping her mother run her boutique. She was responsible for procuring materials from Saharanpur and traveled there daily from Dehradun. She and her family have lived in Bhutan for six years.

She started working after graduating from high school. She moved to Delhi from Dehradun and worked in a call center with a monthly salary of Rs 5,000. She aspired to become Miss India and participated in the Miss Uttaranchal (now Uttarakhand) contest. She won the beauty pageant and became the first Miss Uttaranchal. A year after winning the beauty pageant, she decided to start her career as a flight attendant. Initially, she worked with Indigo Airlines and later became a stewardess for Emirates Airline.
