Ayla Musharraf or Ayla Raza is a Pakistani woman, known for being the daughter of Pervez Musharraf, the former Chief of Army Staff and President of Pakistan famous. She is the Director of All Pakistan Music Conference (APMC), Karachi.

Ella Musharraf was born on Wednesday, February 18, 1970 (age 52; as of 2022). She has been interested in classical music since childhood. She started studying architecture at Dawood Engineering College, Karachi. However, in the late 1980s, when Karachi was plagued by student unrest, Ira moved to Lahore and enrolled at the National College of Arts (NCA), where she pursued a bachelor’s degree in architecture. As a student of NCA, she participated in concerts organized by All Pakistan Music Conference (APMC) and Lahore Music Forum during her college years. She also studied classical music in college. Born into a musical family, she attributes her love of music to her grandparents. Her grandfather, Syed Musharraf, played the tabla, while her grandmother, Zareen Musharraf, played the harmonium. In addition, her father, Pervez Musharraf, was fond of ghazal music, and she grew up listening to ghazal music. After her marriage, she settled in Karachi and met Hayat Ahmed Khan (founder of APMC) at a dance festival. During her meeting with Hayat, Ira came up with the idea of holding a concert in Karachi. She successfully convinced Hayat and organized the first concert of APMC Karachi in 2004. Talking about the same in an interview, she said:
Hayat sahib is friendly and encouraging. He introduced me to some classical music lovers in Karachi and attended our first event in the city. “

Ira Musharraf’s father, Pervez Musharraf, is a Pakistani politician and retired four-star general in the Pakistan Army who is known to have led the 1999 Kargil War against India. He served as the tenth President of Pakistan from 2001 until the end of his term. Resigned in 2008. Ella’s mother’s name is Seheba Musharraf. Her grandfather, Saeed Musharraf, served in the Foreign Ministry. Ella’s younger brother, Bilal Musharraf, is a Pakistani actuary (chartered accountant) and educator.

Ella Musharraf is married to Pakistani film and television commercial director and producer Asim Raza. Before venturing into film production and directing, Asim worked as an architect with Arshad Shahid Abdullah (PVT) LTD. Ayla Raza met Asim at Dawood Engineering College in Karachi, where they both studied architecture.

They have two daughters: Maryam Raza and Zainab Raza. Maryam Raza entered the entertainment industry as a director in 2021 with the music video of Taha G’s song Pyaar Da Meter. Meanwhile, Zainab Raza styled the actor for the video.

Ella started her career as an architect. However, she quit her job in 2010. She has since been active in promoting traditional performing arts at the All Pakistan Music Conference (APMC), a non-profit organization in Karachi. Previously, she served as Secretary General of APMC. Later, she became a director.

Facing life threats from terrorist groups
In July 2013, Ayla Raza faced threats to her life in Karachi. Intelligence agencies have reportedly informed the Sindh government that the banned terror group has drafted a plan to target Musharraf’s daughter in Karachi. Her father, who had just returned from four years of self-imposed exile, faced a similar threat from the Pakistani Taliban. At the time, he was under house arrest in a palatial farmhouse on the outskirts of Islamabad.
