Babita Kapoor is an Indian former actress, the niece of the famous Indian actress “Sardana Shivdasani” and the daughter of actor Hari Shivdasani. She made her acting debut in the 1966 drama film Dus Lakh. She rose to fame after starring in the romantic thriller Raaz in 1967 with Rajesh Khanna.

Babita married her long-time co-star actor Randhir Kapoor in a grand ceremony on November 6, 1971. They have two daughters, Kareena Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor, both actors. Babita was the first woman in her family to encourage her daughter to pursue acting as a career, despite opposition from her in-laws. In the 1980s, Babita and her husband Randhir’s marriage began to experience some inevitable difficulties, which eventually led to their separation for a period of time.
