Bachelor in Paradise Alums Dean and Caelynn Share the Meaning of Their Matching Tattoos

Caelynn Miller-Keyes and Dean Unglert have the same tattoos with meaning.

The Bachelor in Paradise students joined Joe and Serena live from the Bachelor Mansion for the couple Bachelor Happy Hour podcast on Tuesday.

While there, the former contestants — who are now husband and wife — got their wedding tattoos, which just so happens to be a continuation of the ink they got at the start of their relationship.

“You had a tattoo artist at your wedding?” Joe asked about the couple’s September wedding in Meredith, Colorado.

Miller-Keyes, 28, said the artist who gave her her first tattoo is based near Aspen “and he completed our couples tattoo that we did two years ago.” The reality star added that the situation was “kind of perfect” in the end.

The golips then explained what their marks meant.

“So on our fifth date or so, we said, ‘Let’s go get a tattoo,'” began Unglert, 32. “So stupid. Don’t recommend him.”

Despite advising fans or listeners not to follow in their footsteps, it seems to have worked for them.

They explained that although their relationship was fairly new at the time, they had agreed to get a “paratrooper” and an “airplane”.

“Because I like to skydive and she likes to travel,” Unglert said.

“Okay, that doesn’t match, it does, where it’s like other people’s names,” Serena said.

“But it’s like his parachute should jump out of my plane, but it could be their own stuff,” Miller-Keyes explained. Her beau also noted, “No tattoos at this point.”

The group then swapped stories about skydiving, with most saying that the activity was not their favorite pastime. However, Unglert made approximately “100 jumps”.

When he previously tried to take Miller-Keyes on her first skydiving experience, she refused to jump — but eventually went again a year later and completed the quest with friends.

Just as their tattoos have meaning, so did their recent wedding.

They went with a “Camp Bell” theme for the ceremony as a sentimental nod to Miller-Keyes’ longtime love of summer camp and Unglert’s late mother, Debbie Bell, who died of breast cancer when he was a teenager.

“I loved summer camp more than anything growing up, so we incorporated some camp themes throughout the weekend, like field day, to really let everyone get to know each other,” Miller-Keyes told PEOPLE at the time. “For the welcome dinner, we also wanted to incorporate a bit of Italy, one of our favorite places we’ve been together.”
