As the results were announced and the 35-year-old rose from her seat to an eruption of applause at the Royal Festival Hall in London’s Southbank Centre, she accidentally bumped into a cameraman.
It came as producers tried to capture all the action from the scene.
She could then be seen awkwardly gesturing to the camera before taking to the stage to accept her award.
Accepting the award, Emma said: “This is a really huge honour, and as we’re in London I’ll start by thanking our dialect teacher.”

She continued: “I really just want to thank my mom, because she’s the best person I know in the whole world.
“She always inspires me every day and always made me believe in this kind of crazy idea that I could do something like this.”
This year’s star-studded event saw a total of 38 films in contention for the awards, hosted by David Tennant.

The film won seven awards out of 13 nominations while dominating the ceremony.
Nolan won best director for the first time in his career – and earned a standing ovation from the audience.
Lead actor winner Cillian Murphy received a standing ovation when his name was announced.
Oppenheimer’s success was followed by Les Misérables, which took home five gongs, including Emma Stone’s lead actress win.
She beat Margot Robbie to the award, meaning Barbie walked away empty-handed after being snubbed by Bafta.
Her co-star Ryan Gosling also missed out on a supporting actor – and struggled to understand a Coronation Street joke made by host David Tennant.
Zone of Interest won Outstanding British Film and Outstanding Non-English Language Film.
Meanwhile, Oompa Loompa actor Hugh Grant has cheekily slammed the Bafta nominees for making their films “too long” in the Willy Wonka style.
Back to the Future, legendary actor Michael J Fox brought everyone to their feet when he took to the stage in a wheelchair to present Best Picture.
The star – who has Parkinson’s disease – was cheered as he took his final steps to the podium to announce Oppenheimer’s success.
Leading the pack with 13 nominations was Christopher Nolan’s epic biopic about atomic bomb creator J Robert Oppenheimer.
Cillian Murphy was awarded Best Actor as Oppenheimer was the biggest winner of the night, winning a total of seven awards.
