Bally Sagoo started his career in 1989 when British record label Oriental Star Agency invited him to remix a Punjabi song titled “Hey Jamalo”. The song was a hit and Sagoo decided to join Eastern Star Agency as a full-time producer. In 1990, Sagoo released his first album “Wham Bam” and its sequel “Wham Bam 2” in 1993. Other albums from 1990 to 1993 include “Star Crazy” (1991), “Essential Ragga” (1991) and “Magic Touch” (1992) with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Fateh Ali Khan) together.

In 1994, Sagoo signed a contract with Sony Records to produce Bollywood Flashback. He became the first Indian artist to enter mainstream radio stations across the country when his album track “Chura Liya” was played on BBC Radio.

In 1999, Sagoo established his own British music company Ishq Records. His album “Dub of Asia” is his first album. Ishq subsequently developed other Sagoo products such as ‘Anything But Silent’, ‘Hanji’ and the technologically advanced ‘Sag Loops’ range. The company also manages and promotes other young musicians, publishing songs such as “Noorie” on Sagoo’s Bollywood Flashback 2 CD in 2000. Sagoo established a studio in Mumbai in 2012 and works between the UK and India. He integrated the corporate assets of “Ishq Records” into the music arm of “Fresh Dope Industries”, Fresh Dope Records. It is headquartered in Brussels with satellite offices in Mumbai. It produces feature films, television programmes, artist marketing and management, corporate engagement, internet and traditional publishing, live performance, lifestyle, fashion trends and technological advancements.
