The new trend of nurturing that included the pruning of the eyelashes is seemingly increasingly popular – but doctors say it may not be healthy.
New videos shot in the barberies circulate on a tictic that houses men showing their shaved lashes. The razors can be seen using clippers, electric razors and other tools for pruning men’s lashes, claiming that it looks more masculine.
One video, divided into a razor -point account in January, showed that the client reduced the lashes almost to the skin.
“I was personally witnessing a client who asked the barber to shave his eyelashes. He said he didn’t like how long they were and that his wife criticized them because they looked too feminine. He even was an extra payment,” the video description said.
“But my question to all barbers there is: is this service really feasible? Should it be allowed in the barbers? Would you do that to ask the client?” The inscription was added. “And a million dollar question: is it more manly shaved with eyelashes?”

Dr. Nicole Bajic, a comprehensive ophthalmologist from Cleveland Clinic’s Cole Eye Institute, tells people that the most important thing is to remember about the lashes to serve a certain purpose: helping their eyes to stay healthy holding waste.
“People can certainly prune their lashes, and sometimes we even permanently remove some of them for selected patients (when eyelashes grow in unusual directions and scratch their eyes), but I wouldn’t recommend that you prosecute them or remove them if they do not cause significant problems,” he tells people.
“It is important to remember that the eyelashes serve a purpose in protecting the eyes,” Bajic adds. “The eyelashes act like a protective shade, holding debris, allergens and other pollutants in the air away from our eyes.”
According to Bajic, the eyelashes also act as an eye sensors to prevent trauma, as the lashes activate the reflex of the person’s blink when they feel the arrival object.

Bajic also shared tips for those ticters who may already jump on this trend.

As for social media, many network users believe that the trend to spread eyelashes is not the best idea.
