Police confirmed they were called to the six-bed manor.

A source said: “It is not the sort of place you expect police to turn up.

“But a car came and they spoke to Charles.

“It is a tiny village so a few people have been talking. It is all very shocking.”

A woman at the home told The Sun on Sunday: “I can’t comment. But what I can say is that he’s moved out. He’s not here anymore.”

Charles, 45, was also not at his nearby auction house business.

The couple bought the home in Quarndon, Derbyshire, for £920,000 in 2014.

He met radiographer Rebecca through pals in 2008.

They wed in 2010 and have two children.

Charles has said of her: “I’m used to dealing with beautiful things but Rebecca is the most beautiful treasure of all. I’m lucky she is my wife.”

Chartered surveyor Charles started his career at auction house Christie’s in 1999.

He began on Bargain Hunt in 2002, and advises one of the two teams trying to turn a profit from trading antiques.

For his latest social media post this week, he was filmed with a 1kg, £100,000 gold coin.

Derbyshire Police confirmed: “The force was called to reports of a domestic incident at an address in Quarndon on June 13.”
