Basheer was born on September 25, 1988 in Ernakulam, Kerala, India. He is better known as DJ-Bash. He has been interested in acting and music since childhood. He had no professional training in any such field. Due to his charming looks and voice, he got the opportunity to host television shows. After performing well on his first television show, he received many offers to host or star in music videos. He is now a contestant in the first season of the most controversial reality show Bigg Boss Malayalam.

Bashir Basch was married twice. On December 21, 2009, he married model, DJ and beautician Suhana Bashi, with whom he has son Muhammad Zaigham Basheer and daughter Sunaina Sunu. He also married entrepreneur Mashura Mashu after a few years of dating.

Profession
He went to school at RPMHS, Ernakulam, Kerala, and did his graduation from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala. Due to his interest in music, he initially started working as a musician and released two albums that gained popularity. He later started working as a model and hosting television shows. Basheer has also appeared in Malayalam music videos such as Azhake En Kadhaliye (2015), Pathiye (2017), etc. Before entering the entertainment industry, he briefly worked as a DJ.
He also runs a men’s clothing store called Borna Fashion Hub in Kochi since 2017. He also created Borna Beard Oil.
