In their new competition series Battle of the Bling, social media celebrity Todrick Hall and HGTV designer Kim Myles are looking for America’s “blingiest mansion.” The program will launch on HGTV on Friday, December 9 at 10 p.m. ET, with two 30-minute episodes showing back-to-back, headlined Blingiest Place for a Party and Bling with a View. Each episode of the program will include homes being assessed and one house emerging winner, beating the other two. Fans may follow the Battle of the Bling series on the HGTV Go app, where episodes will be posted one day after they air on television.
Battle of the Bling will have five finalists chosen from a total of 15 homes with a lot of blingy elements. Furry walls, mirrored fireplaces, breathtaking vistas, and even a pirate’s cave will be among the features. Only one of the finalists will take home the “Blingiest of them all” award, bragging rights, and a feature in HGTV magazine. Throughout the series, popular HGTV personalities such as Jackie Siegel, Keith Bynum, and Alison Victoria will assist Hall and Myles in making choices and making judgments.
About the Battle of the Bling hosts and judges
Kim Myles
Kim Myles, 48, of Bakersfield, California, began arranging items at her house at a young age out of curiosity, even creating her own art prints for objects. Myles attended the Pacific Conservatory of Performing Arts after graduating from West High School and obtained her associate of arts degree in the mid-1990s.
Kim entered the field of cosmetology after struggling to make a living as an actor. She did hair for several theater artists. She and her husband, Scott Myles, founded their own ice cream business in 2003. Her firm was a big success, but she struggled to manage it. Only then did Myles become a participant in the HGTV program Design Star. She won the competition, getting the ability to produce her own HGTV program. Kim co-hosted her own remodeling program, Myles of Style, with expert carpenter Anthony Gilardi in 2008. She has since been on other home improvement series, including Homemade Simple, and will soon be seen judging Battle of the Bling.
