BBC Breakfast pulled off BBC One in major schedule change – details

BBC Breakfast has been pulled from BBC One on Sunday due to a schedule change. The current affairs program usually airs from 6am to 9.15am each day, but was moved to BBC Two halfway through the show.

The change comes with the return of Match of the Day for the new season. The Football Highlights Show, hosted by Gary Lineker, airs every Saturday night at 10.30pm on BBC One and is repeated on Sunday mornings at 7.30am.

BBC Breakfast’s main weekend hosts Roger Johnson and Rachel Burden appeared on the red sofa on Sunday, and as the time approached 7.30am, Rachel informed viewers that the program would be moving to BBC Two.

“We’re moving to BBC Two now and we’ll be there and on the news channel until nine o’clock this morning. Stay tuned,” she said.

After teasing upcoming segments, including coverage of the ugliest lawn competition in Gotland, Sweden, to raise awareness of water scarcity, Roger added: “It’s all coming to BBC Two and the BBC News Channel between now and nine. This is when we say goodbye to you. Have a nice day.”

The journalist usually hosts the program from Thursday to Saturday each week alongside Charlie Stayt, but has been replaced by royal correspondent Sarah Campbell, who often steps in when the main presenters are off.

Although Naga’s absence was not mentioned on the show, we wonder if the star, an avid golfer herself, will take some time off to enjoy the Ryder Cup.

Steve and Carol were friends for years before their relationship turned romantic. Speaking about the early days of their romance, Carol told Closer magazine: “We were friends before we got into a relationship so we knew each other pretty well before we got into a relationship. It was nice because it just happened.”

She continued: “None of us were looking for romance and there it is, it’s just unfolding. It’s so beautiful. Who would have thought I’d be remarrying at this advanced age? I sure didn’t.”
