BBC Breakfast star Carol Kirkwood collapsed while giving the weather forecast on Tuesday’s morning show.
The presenter, who shared the latest weather forecast via video link from Wimbledon, joined an adorable retriever named Ray throughout the segment and petted it as it told viewers what What will happen to the sky today.
By the end of her report, Ray was distracted from the camera and away from Carol, who was leading, out of the scene.

Carol, who was already kneeling on the ground, lost her balance and eventually fell on her butt.
Just a moment ago, the star noticed how well the dog behaves. “He barely moved, apart from being rubbed on his stomach,” she said.
The hilarious moment was captured on camera, with Sally Nugent and Jon Kay expressing concern from the set, Sally exclaiming: “Oh, Carol! Is she okay?”

Jon added, “Oh Carol, are you all right?”
Carol saw the funny side and started giggling as she assured her colleagues she was fine before adding: “Chelsea Flower Show again!”
Thanking Carol for the report, Jon said, “Thanks, nice to see you’re okay. Poor Carol.”

This is not the first time Carol has been dragged to the ground by a dog while giving a weather forecast on BBC Breakfast.
In 2021, while sharing the latest weather reports from the Chelsea Flower Show, Carol fell after her guide’s diary pulled on the leash she was holding.
“She’s a very strong girl, Flash,” Carol said later. “She ran back to her trainer, Mel, who was on the other side of the camera.”

Since BBC Breakfast is a three-hour live program, occasional hiccups are inevitable.
Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty demonstrated this in a humorous moment from a recent show in which Charlie was caught reading the newspaper while his co-worker interviewed a guest.
Naga was chatting with attorney Victoria Butler-Cole via video link when the camera panned to a wide shot of the two co-hosts on a red sofa, showing Charlie flipping through the headlines of the day.

Naga tried to warn his colleague by pushing him with his feet, and the audience enjoyed the confusion. “Not so sneaky, Naga,” one person wrote on Twitter with a smiling emoji.
Carol’s recent demise comes amid some exciting news for the show. On Monday’s morning show, Sally and Jon announced that their colleague, business executive Nina Warhurst, welcomed their third child.
“She gave birth to a very healthy, beautiful baby girl,” said Sally, Jon adding that the baby’s name “is being given.”

Nina, 42, is also a caring mother of two boys she shares with her husband, Ted, of nine years. Their eldest son, Digby, was born in 2016 and a second child, Michael, was born two years later in 2018.
